This December Los Angeles hears Handel’s Messiah at Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, including a sing-along where the audience sings the choruses. Here is every performance we know of, each linked to the official page.
For the sound Handel knew: Le Concert d’Astrée, a French period-instrument ensemble, joins the Los Angeles Master Chorale and the LA Phil at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
To sing it yourself: the Master Chorale’s Great Messiah Sing-Along, also at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Something different: Dream Orchestra plays Mozart’s arrangement of Messiah at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.
